<metadesc>This was the second time we drove up to Big Flats, and nothing went wrong because Daisy -- although I later found out that the timing belt was, like, 27k overdue to be replaced. So we did kinda get seriously lucky.</metadesc>
first rest-stop of the trip, in VA
approaching the spaghetti junction south of Richmond
spaghetti junction with surreal reflections
distant view of the Navy Museum (I think) - really hard to photograph it from any closer
first traffic jam (there were several)
Woozle right after being misgendered by the very nice cashier lady at 5 Guys in Kensington, MD, who remembered us from last time (see 2018/12/05)
I was worried about this for a bit, because "UNLEADED 88" was set apart from the other grades as if it might contaminate them (or be contaminated by them), and yet it was cheaper than the 87 octane "regular" (presumably also unleaded) which was more expensive (by a few pennies), implying that you might not want to use it even if you're just trying to save money -- but Daisy seemed to have no trouble with it.
traffic jam going the other way
There are several stretches in PA where you're driving through towns; this is but one of them.
We finally located the Sunoco Station of Doom, where we pulled over last time when Kestracel Weiss started making alarming noises.
