I printed a copy of the previous email to Lynne and sent it (along with a hardcopy of the 8/3 accounting) via registered mail, since I hadn't heard anything back from Lynne & wanted to make sure she received it. This is the delivery notification. The message has been edited for length and clarity.

The original date fell through because our original childsitting arrangement didn't work out; I don't remember the details at the moment. I said I was "inclining towards" changing the date because if it had been really important to Lynne to keep to the original date, I could have gone down myself or we could have booked a hotel room and brought the kids, though it would have been much more difficult either way (as proved to be the case when I finally did have to go down by myself later on).

I'm now inclining towards the next weekend (Fri/Sat Oct. 3-4) for the Athens visit. This puts us into next month, so I will deposit another $150 for trailer rental for October.
There are some issues with that weekend which *may* cause the date to get pushed back to the weekend after that (Fri/Sat Oct 10/11) so we are still playing it by ear. As always, I will let you know if the date does change again.
Lynne: If time permits, I will send you a prepaid Express envelope for mailing the Benz keys back to me. Express mail has tracking, so once the letter is in the mail you won't have to worry about having responsibility for the keys; I will know it has been mailed and that the USPS is responsible for anything that may happen en route. The weight should be well under 1 lb., so you should be able to mail it from your mailbox. I will put the expense on your bill.
