A.M.
11:10
I wanted to use FF to find a configuration file, but it wasn't working, so I had to interrupt the other two things I was working on to fix it. It's now partly working, but not giving me all the information I want -- probably because it's not making use of some of the newer facilities I put in the parent-classes. Working on getting that working.
Later today: therapy and shopping.
12:42
I did a clever: the list of options shown in the FF documentation now automatically includes the common base and spidering options. Will do this for the other commands as I get to them.
P.M.
Much of the afternoon was eaten up by therapy and shopping, then cooking and eating. Then TV and clean-up. ...okay, all of the afternoon, until a little after 8.
Made Tigger Quiche Glop from the leftovers I prepped yesterday. Extra ingredients: the last of the fresh basil from K's garden (we picked it up while we were there on Monday), portabella mushrooms, alphabet pasta that may have originated in the 20th century (thus bringing it more in the spirit of Tigger Noodle Mess, which really should be made with at least 2 different kinds of pasta) and a significant quantity of chicken goop from the bottom of the pan (collected over several Fridays and frozen).
Memo to self: just always use the larger pot. Even though I only had 2 legs of chicken, the pot was completely full before I was even done and some stuff on the bottom started burning and I didn't have the counter-space or energy to salvage it properly, so I ended up losing maybe 15% of the batch -- and I had to mix in the eggs in a colander, and pour it all into the large pot for serving anyway. That's two pieces of extra cleanup that wouldn't have been needed if I'd just used the big pot in the first place.
I also did all the dishes afterwards.
A Metaphor: I feel like I've been trying to land a 737 without any pilot training for the past 30 years or so, but I keep messing up and having to do go-arounds and I'm not sure how much fuel I have left. It doesn't help that all the people who have attempted to be the Mentour Pilot guiding me in on radio only know how to fly smaller planes and don't understand why I'm having so much trouble with it.
