Second visit from Brenda Newell of Child Protective Services. She asked questions about our utility expenses -- which I thought was going to lead to some kind suggestion that we might qualify for some kind of assistance, but didn't. Paranoid side wonders if she is building a case against us somehow, or just making sure our bills aren't unusually high. She didn't ask about credit cards, just mortgage and utilities. Asked Harena about her previous jobs (when I was out of the room) -- but never asked about income, as far as either of us can remember.
