In some ways, this one represents the very best of our relationship: the combination of silliness and creativity -- literally typing a note on a leaf while using it as a prop to support a narrative in which I'm trying to pretend that I'm not hiding out even though I actually am... while ignoring the absurdness of being able to get a leaf delivered to a high-school locker while being unable to obtain paper.

We're running a bit low on paper at the
hideretreat – a situation that will soon be remedied: we are going to be selling some curves to a hungry businessman who was in the wrong place at the right time. Meanwhile, send your contributions to: TMPWWSToBPoPaPTiOPL, Address Unknown.
I think "curves" was a reference to a discussion we'd had about HO-scale model railroading, someone needing more curves for their build (possibly J&S's brother Pete?).
