A couple of years ago (after we had the breaker-box replaced, because the main bus was having problems, but the guy forgot to do that extra bit of rewiring that we asked for) I ran an extension cord from the microwave into the laundry room, which is on a separate circuit. The cord runs over the top of the fridge and was kind of getting in the way there, but it was taut at that end... so I had to <s>go back to Chicago and push a little</s> I mean add some slack on the other end, then work it through the length of the cord. I only got partway done with that last night. | Context: All the plug sockets in the kitchen are on the same breaker, which means that running two heavy loads at the same time -- such as the microwave and the kettle -- the breaker trips. Nominally a housework day, nothing else scheduled. Woke up with a headache, so I think I need to take it easy... but I can definitely finish moving that extension cord over the fridge (started last night).
Context: All the plug sockets in the kitchen are on the same breaker, which means that running two heavy loads at the same time -- such as the microwave and the kettle -- the breaker trips. A couple of years ago (after we had the breaker-box replaced, because the main bus was having problems, but the guy forgot to do that extra bit of rewiring that we asked for) I ran an extension cord from the microwave into the laundry room, which is on a separate circuit. The cord runs over the top of the fridge and was kind of getting in the way there, but it was taut at that end... so I had to go back to Chicago and push a little I mean add some slack on the other end, then work it through the length of the cord. I only got partway done with that last night.
Later: extension-cord thing done. Changed furnace filter.
Towards the end of the day, I made some progress on the Ferreteria config-class revision, i.e. I think that part of it is pretty much working now; I just need to refactor the rest of the code to work with how it is now.
