W note #10 to J

In some ways, this one represents the very best of our relationship: the combination of silliness and creativity -- literally typing a note on a leaf while using it as a prop to support a narrative in which I'm trying to pretend that I'm not hiding out even though I actually am... while ignoring the absurdness of being able to get a leaf delivered to a high-school locker while being unable to obtain paper.

Text, large leaf:

We're running a bit low on paper at the hide retreat – a situation that will soon be remedied: we are going to be selling some curves to a hungry businessman who was in the wrong place at the right time. Meanwhile, send your contributions to: TMPWWSToBPoPaPTiOPL, Address Unknown.

I think "curves" was a reference to a discussion we'd had about HO-scale model railroading, someone needing more curves for their build (possibly J&S's brother Pete?).

Text, small leaf:

P.S. Have a nice Lennon's birthday.

Historical Note

John Lennon was, in fact, still alive at the time, and was about to re-emerge into public view with the release of Double Fantasy but hadn't yet done so.
