About
This was Maidi's last printer. It is kind of a shiny piece of crap. I hope it wasn't me that bought it, but it might have been.
- Under Windows, it kept locking up and needing to be power-cycled before it would start working again.
- Has no on-device controls or displays at all (aside from 3 LEDs that sorta-kinda indicate status in various ways); everything goes through awful Windows app. (It might be possible to run this under WINE, but I haven't tried.)
- Under Linux:
- Seems to work ok as printer (can't be sure without putting in new ink, and there's no way to tell it to clean the heads or do an alignment).
- Shows ink levels and test-page print function, but no other maintenance controls.
- Recognized as scanner, but won't actually scan.
- Probably more useful for parts, e.g. there's at least one full-color LED and of course the scan head & hardware.
