It took out power on our entire side of the street, too.

At about 4pm, the broken-nose tree finally fell down. We've been dreading this for years. Duke Energy asked for (and got) permission to cut it down circa 2019, but never did.

It had gotten to the point where I was nervous every time I had to walk through the area where I knew it would fall, if it fell -- because it very much felt like one of those things where it would just randomly fall down one day, and not wait for a storm or even a high wind... and here we are.
