<let name=data index=TextAbove>Woke up at 5 AM in order to arrive at Duke School on time to meet [[Zander]]'s ride for the Science Olympiad at 6. Turned out we had the times backwards; he didn't need to be there until 6:30. And then it turned out it just wasn't happening anyway...</let>

And then (just now, while typing the previous sentence) it turns out that the partner is okay, and the Olympiad judges are going to make an exception, so I'll be going for a third attempt at dropping off Zander sometime in the next half-hour or so.
 
And then at 9:45 or so, I go to the Farmers Market, which I hate/dread doing by myself but Harena isn't available due to the presence of [[Josh]].
 
Which seems like a good way to start this blog -- a brief sampling of the usual chaos of our daily lives.</let>

Inaugural post
2009-02-14 0817

Woke up at 5 AM in order to arrive at Duke School on time to meet Zander's ride for the Science Olympiad at 6. Turned out we had the times backwards; he didn't need to be there until 6:30. And then it turned out it just wasn't happening anyway...

...because his Olympiad partner (who has all the gear, and whose mom was driving) had inhaled a cough drop and needed to be taken to the emergency room.
