2011-02-27 correspondence with American Express

2011-02-27 15:18 webmail to Amex

We are currently investigating the possibility of a home refinance as an alternative to bankruptcy. We would like to make this plan sustainable so that we do not get caught up in more debt after the payoff. It is therefore vital to minimize the amount of principal that gets added to the mortgage so that the monthly payments will be affordable.

If we are able to carry through with this, we expect it to happen before the end of March.

Can you offer a reduced amount as a lump-sum payout to settle Sandy's debt to American Express, and what amount would you be able to offer?

Thank you.
