Subject: loose ends and misc.

In approximately descending order of importance --

Before you do any more hats (samples or production run), please -- I would very much like approval on the artwork you send them, as both artist and business owner. The VBZ logo you are using is (as I have pointed out before) one I did on the spot, and it has flaws. I also wasn't terribly happy with the color simplification on the latest embroidery sample (w/frog); it kind of misses the point of some of the shapes Anna put inside, losing much of the "menagerie" effect which I think we could accentuate nicely. (Leaving aside the issue of whether I approve of the hats as a venture or not... as far as that goes, it would seem reasonable to me that either the development expenses -- e.g. the overnight from China fiasco -- go on your account or else vbz is going to need to retain a larger cut than 20%.)

And where did the frog come from? Was it copyrighted? If so, I can probably draw a nice one freehand (perhaps more integrated with the logo) that will be similar but different enough to avoid any infringement issues.

Do we have images of new ZR stuff, such as those at [ http://www.zionrootswear.com/2002FallTees.htm ]? Got the new images of old stuff you've done so far (up thru BOB-1006)...

need a "back" view for BOB-1002... Why white border around back image of BOB-1005? Smaller white border around one of the others (I could find it if you can't)... BOB-1006: thumb and closeup only...

Did LB not send images of the back (dancing rainbow skeletons) for hats 293/294?

PW: "Cyclone" shirts designated as "blue and..." appear black on my monitor, although blue in the catalog; how about your monitor?

Still no web presence for Axis Arts; can you contact them, get current catalogs for both of us, and see if they _would_ like a web presence?

SunDog's web site appears not to have been updated since about 1997... But I've seen their stuff around; the local Whole Foods sells t-shirts with WF's logo embroidered. They're rather gorgeous. ...Didn't we come across a web site about a year ago which had stuff that looked like SD's? Any recollection of where it was? It had the word "color" in the name, is all I remember at the moment... Anyway, maybe call them and find out if they do have a current site, if they've changed their name, if we could have a catalog...

vbz banner (perhaps in both transparent-GIF and bladepro-background-JPEG versions) for redhouse.com and other places?

How bout a vbz logo using fonts from this site: http://cgi.theforce.net/theforce/multimedia/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Miscellaneous/Fonts

Thanks,

N.
