B.,

We need to resolve how we're going to handle Earth Creations. It depends on what they're willing to do for us; let me know whether you think you'll have time to contact them in the next few days.

The two possibilities I see are:

1. We discontinue our 6-week guarantee for their merch (possibly later adding the scaled-pricing scheme we discussed recently) and basically continue with business as usual -- making sure people understand it ould be A While before they get their stuff.

2. EC offers us a lower order minimum (in the $20-$50 range, or 1-4 pieces) in exchange for higher prices to us. This would allow us to ship their stuff much faster. Better yet, they could drop-ship for us, saving some money on shipping so we could still make a profit at those prices. Maybe they could think of it as a retail sales commission, instead of wholesale pricing? Think of us as a more industrial-strength front-end for their retail operations? We could even customize their part of vbz.net to look more like their existing site without compromising our design. You could explain to them that vbz's business focus is innovative data-processing solutions, not retail per se...

So the question is, does #2 interest them? I would really like to see their stuff back in the store, especially now that interest seems to be picking up (I've no idea why; our hits have been hanging around 100k/week since the beginning of the year -- see http://www.vbz.net/wusage/weekly/1.html -- with no significant spikes recently), but we need some way to avoid the crisis where our delivery-time guarantee collides with their order minimum.

Let me know...

Thx.,

N.

N., the "industrial-strength front-end for their retail operations" sounds perfect. I'll call them later today or tomorrow. I also want to call Applejack to get started on their art to supplement Toh-Atin (if they ever send me anything).
