Weird, I got the second email first yesterday and the first just a minute ago. WTF's a little strong iddn't it? We've been bantering this idea about for a while and if_he_does do anything, he'll be asking us what we need and by time it's all settled we'll have worked the kinks out of it. You've written the jukebox, got countless hours of music encoded and it's what you love to do and I did tell you that I would start the ball rolling on this part of the store. In my email, I was minimal on purpose, he'll mull it over, ask some ?'s and get back to us. We do offer music in the store, so we should be working on the policies and procedures anyway. Where do you want to start? If you don't want to do music we can just tell him that I happened write to him just as we were deciding that we're not going to put music in the store.

It's not that big of a deal. Exasperation instead of, OK how can we accomplish this, (if in fact it's something you want to do) to let others advertise for us on their discs and websites etc. so we can sell more merch of our own. Take a breath and talk to me. What are the issues you'd like to talk about? How will .wav's not work? Tawk toome...

Or, more to the point, we hadn't decided if we were still going to be doing music, and if so when. Sending WAV files might or might not be a good idea. All kinds of other questions come to mind -- shouldn't we have had a page of info ready for him to look at explaining terms, download policies, rates, etc. None of this is in place. Even if we were going to proceed without it, we still had some very basic decisions to make.

I mean... WTF??

Greetings, we'd be happy to include your catalog in our store. To do this, send us .wav files for us to put on the site or send us CD's to encode ( for a moderate fee) from which to take sound clips. We can discuss shipping terms if you still wish to go ahead with VBZ.NET as an outlet for your merch.

Let me know what's next.

Namasté,

B.

deadbears.com was available -- seemed like too good an opportunity. I snagged it.

We should contact other stores carrying dead bears retail and ask if they'd be interested in advertising... Ultimately, I was thinking of doing a metastore, where anyone could enter the stock they have and how much they want for it, OR alternatively do it as an auction... With detailed info for collectors and such... but for now, just click-thru ads should be doable.
