Here's what I wish I had done in response to this.

I wish I had said "Okay. I am coming over to your house today after school, and you are going to give me that box. I will keep it safe for you, and I won't tell any parents or authorities, and you can have it back if you need to use it -- but you will have to explain to me why you need to use it."
