Several weeks have passed since I sent at least one email and ground-mailed you a printout of it, and I have not heard back from you. What is the status of our court date, which I understood was going to be set up sometime in early September?
Looking at the bigger picture, I've been getting the distinct impression for many months now that this case is not really capturing your interest. I can certainly understand this, as I am sure you deal with many cases where it is much clearer that there is something to be gained by obtaining a victory.
Nevertheless, I need to have resolution on this matter, and my understanding was that there is every reason to think that a day spent in court continues to be my best option. The defendants, though adamant in their apparent belief in the rightness of their cause, have not only declined all opportunities for negotiation but also have failed to produce any evidence or coherent arguments to support their cause. It is time to let the arguments (or lack thereof) speak for themselves, and get this over with.
Towards that end, if you have perhaps found that you are not able to adequately focus on this case so as to ensure that it continues to move forward, is it possible that you would prefer that I seek the services of another attorney to assist me with the final stages? If so, is there anyone you would recommend?
Please understand that although I am rather frustrated by the continual delays on this case (it will be 3 years ago this November that my stored belongings were hauled off, soon after which I contacted you), I am choosing to ask this question now rather than waiting until I have passed the point of being able to discuss it calmly.
Thank you,
