• gezellig == very close in friendship or affection
• ogenschijnlijk == ostensibly
• de rapen zijn gaar == The Kohlrabi is done (said when in a pickle)
• vingersmid == extreme good finger (good fine motor skills)
• jeetje == sheesh?
• vertederd =="when you look at someone with a smile & with your head crooked"; moved
• laatdukend == formal exression contempt (hah! a cussword! i know how to cuss in Dutch!)
• hoogstwaarschijnlijk == mostly, probably

• poepiedrollie == What one says to a child when pat-patting samesuch on the head. (its meaning gets "lost in the translation" apparently)

• waar is de badkamer? == where is the bathroom?
• wat is de uur? == What time is it?
