previous blue kettle (2007)

Tea Kettle.jpg

How To

To remove discoloration or scale/lime deposit from heating element:

Place either 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar or 1 Tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice into the kettle. Then fill the kettle 1/2 full with water. Plug in, turn ON (|) and bring to boil. Turn OFF (0), let cool, and rinse several times with clean tap water.

Replacing (2022-11-16)

We originally got the Hamilton Beach model from Target (at least 2-3 times). It was not shown in their teakettle display, but it showed up as "recommended" and "on sale" at the bottom of another kettle's page. The following list was mostly assembled before I found it, however, and may be useful in the future (possibly they are discontinuing the HB?).
