Gonzo the Great

Gonzo 3

Purchased sysbd, CPU, RAM on 2011-08-13

  • OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Linux Mint 5 ... multiple upgrades, on multiple hard drives; currently Kubuntu 16.04 LTS
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 - dual core - 3.1 GHz Socket 1155
    • but system will see it as quad-core due to hyperthreading
  • Sysbd: Intel DH61BEB3
    • this diagram has the audio inputs wrong:
      • M (pink) is mic in
      • L (green) is out
      • K (blue) is presumably line in, though I have not tested this
  • RAM: 4GB (2x2)
  • HD: 640 GB main drive 500 GB main drive, 2TB external backup

Gonzo 2

Died an untimely death -- kept rebooting. Seemed unfixable.

  • OS: Kubuntu 8.04 9.04 9.10 Ubuntu 11.04
  • sysbd: Biostar P4M900-M7FE v7.0 Socket 775 (invoice)
    • Supposedly uses a RealTek ALC662 for sound, but lspci detects "VIA Technologies, Inc. VIA High Definition Audio Controller (rev 10)"
  • CPU: dual-core Intel Pentium D "3.20GHz" but actually running at 2.1 GHz - ??
  • RAM: 3,050,268 kb
  • HD: 2 x 500 GB 640 GB main drive, 2TB external backup

Gonzo I
