Computer Rules
- 1 point per minute for the first 60 minutes
- 2 points per minute for each minute over 60
- 30 minute minimum gap (off computer entirely, except for homework) to reset to 1 pt/min
In other words: computer time gets expensive if you don't take at least a half-hour break every hour.
Types of computer usage (types overlap):
- reading: anything with mostly text, no animation/video or sound; includes most homework; can be recreational or educational
- e.g. Wikipedia articles about anything, including gaming; Memory Alpha
- gaming: playing a computer game
- e.g. armorgames, AQWorlds, Club Penguin, Kongregate, MiniClip, Y8...
- recreational: anything that isn't reading; includes gaming
- e.g. watching videos, unless they're homework
- homework: computer usage necessary in order to complete school assignments
- e.g. researching siege weapons, if you're doing a project about that
- educational: computer usage that informs you about non-recreational stuff; includes homework
- e.g. research about game-programming, watching a lecture video
- research about specific games is non-educational, unless it can be justified in the context of a game you are writing
For each yelling incident, note what game they were playing. More than 2 incidents in a month means that that game is "restricted", i.e. no more than an hour per day.
