Just off the top of my head, at this late date (2007-02-18), I'm pretty sure that whatever the $60 debit was, it wasn't something I did; probably some kind of automatic debit. The [[SvsG:2002 Accounting|2002 Accounting]] doesn't show any transactions of approximately that amount around this time, so that doesn't clear up the mystery.
Apparently the $60 was two checks I wrote for postage; see 16:28 from Lynne quoting me.

"should come out of the gross receipts" meant specifically that there was money coming in (gross receipts from processing credit cards) of which Lynne would have been unaware and therefore would not have assumed was there when making her calculations as to whether we had enough for the order.
Nonetheless, this does seem to demonstrate how sharing the card simply was not a good idea, even during stretches of time when both parties actually ''were'' apparently being responsible in their usage of it.

The only thing I've used the card for (actually, wrote checks -- #1357 and #1358) was paying for shipping (USPS), which should come out of the gross receipts -- i.e. should be covered.

Nick,
Cool.  I can't tell from the way things are labeled on the E Statement...  My need is to understand and to know that the order (which will be in the neighborhood of $400) will be covered.
I actually have some ideas about how to approach this next six months that, I think, are really workable.  I don't have time to get into anything right now, anyway... but we're into another weekend and bank activity will be at a standstill until Monday.
Talk later...

Notes

I've inserted paragraph breaks where they seem to have been intended.

Apparently the $60 was two checks I wrote for postage; see 16:28 from Lynne quoting me.

Subject: [Fwd: Mountain order]

Nick,

I'm forwarding an email I sent to Bubba earlier today. I had to leave to go to a board meeting and he was in the process of talking to you ICQ... I asked him to forward this when the conversation went to the Mountain Order. I'm understanding , now, that he thought I'd cc'd you so he didn't send it.

Meanwhile, he's placed the order and when I checked the balance and "pending" stuff I found another $60 debit in the que...

I thought you were going to let me know so that there would be no surprises. With automatic debits and ATM's it's adding up and we could end up bouncing the order. We're cutting it really close at this point and I don't know what I'll find in the que tomorrow... but I can't keep putting money in to make sure the order is covered... Just letting you know that the well is dry...

"should come out of the gross receipts" meant specifically that there was money coming in (gross receipts from processing credit cards) of which Lynne would have been unaware and therefore would not have assumed was there when making her calculations as to whether we had enough for the order.

Nonetheless, this does seem to demonstrate how sharing the card simply was not a good idea, even during stretches of time when both parties actually were apparently being responsible in their usage of it.
