- 2018-04-16 tried multiple times to install Ubuntu MATE 17.10, but always goes into rescue mode when booting
- SpinRite can't see drive at all, even though BIOS does
- Gnome Disk Utility greys out SMART options; presumably drive is not serving that feature for some reason
- 2017-05-07 opened (presumably I opened the wrapper on the drive)
