About
IRL chatting is what happens when people you know from the Internet come to visit, and everyone ends up IMing and IRCing with each other (typically via laptops, using the miracle of wireless) even though they are all in the same room.
The Hypertwins first observed this phenomenon no later than 2005 (possibly earlier).
