History

  • 2025-04-04 It turns out that it thinks there is an additional 640x480 monitor attached -- when I plugged in an HDMI monitor, that one took over as primary and showed me a menu. Presumably it was trying to display the menu on the imaginary monitor. I think this must be an Ubuntu issue, because I don't remember having any trouble like this with it before.
  • 2025-04-03 I tried to boot old!Statler's HD, but it kept saying something wasn't loading. I reinstalled Ubuntu-MATE 24.10 from USB -- which took quite awhile -- but it would never fully boot from HD. Retiring it for now.
