It's not clear whether this was marketed as "TASCAM" or "TEAC". I've been calling it "TASCAM" (possibly because the large text on the take-up reel always jumped out at me?), but it clearly says "TEAC" on the head enclosure. On the other hand, right below that it says "TASCAM SERIES". Apparently TASCAM is the professional audio division of TEAC, so I guess it's technically both? | |||

It's not clear whether this was marketed as "TASCAM" or "TEAC". I've been calling it "TASCAM" (possibly because the large text on the take-up reel always jumped out at me?), but it clearly says "TEAC" on the head enclosure. On the other hand, right below that it says "TASCAM SERIES". Apparently TASCAM is the professional audio division of TEAC, so I guess it's technically both?
