Nick & Company,
Thanks for letting us know you are okay... I was a bit worried. Bad weather has other hazards besides the loss of electricity... including icy roads... which do not always deter those who are unable to navigate them... so noone is really safe on the roads. So, I'm glad you're okay and sorry you've had such a hard time with the motel and the cold, etc. I thought it might have made more sense to stay until you were sure the power was back on but your plan made sense, too, in other ways.
I've been doing a bit of reflecting, today, as I worried about you.... It's so clear that there are issues between us that are really huge for each of us. I think it's about a fuck up in communication and understanding that's happened and a lack of coinciding time and opportunity to follow the thought trails through completion that is inhibiting the possibility of resolution, here... But it is painful to see the distance between us when it has been so different in the past. So, together, face to face, the distance was still so obvious but the feelings of connection are very big for me, as well.
I want you to know that it is my hope to be able to work this through.... salvage the friendship....and work together in a capacity that works for all involved. I don't think that giving up is the answer... Just worrying about anything happening to you on your way home...drug up the love and good times we've had (for me). The problems were clearly secondary.
Rest well and be warm, dry and safe. Please keep us posted....
Lynne :-)
