Over low heat (3 on the Magic Chef) melt:

1 pound 8.2 ounces vegetable shortening

Stir in & let plump:

1 cup raisins

Turn off heat & stir in:

Summer: ~8 cups cornmeal
Winter: ~4 cups cornmeal

1 cup chopped peanuts
