While trying to create that account, I discovered that it will reject email addresses that contain certain strings (e.g. "[https://www.reddit.com/r/CashApp/comments/eqif7m/unsupported_email_i_cant_use_my_email_for_cashapp/ flip]"). In my case, I had to change the address from cashapp2021@ to cshapp2021 -- so maybe "cash" is another red-flag word. It doesn't seem to be anything to do with the domain or the email server at that domain. | |||

I started to create an account, but found I had already created one of which I have no record. How do I recover access? How do I tell CashApp to stop trying to set up a new account?
A: Uninstalling/reinstalling the app reset its state. (Clearing all app data would probably also have worked, based on this.) The app asked me for an email address or mobile number; I guessed that I had used mobile instead of email, since I haven't been able to find any evidence of emails from them -- and that worked.
