Our family of 4 has been surviving on basically $2500/month and dancing on the edge of a debt-spiral for a long time now, which means a lot of stuff keeps getting postponed. Now, though, we've got a one-month deadline to get some stuff taken care of in order to be able to help out a friend. (The friend isn't the expense; she's just the catalyst... I'll explain that bit later.)
