Subject: plan change, sigh...

Just last week we found out that the sitter which we had been told a month ago would be available this weekend is actually only available for half the weekend. We've spent the past few days trying to fill the gap, but it looks like it would take at least two different people, neither of whom we have met yet. This weekend being not the best anyway, and not having heard any preference from you, I am cancelling our trip to Athens this weekend.

We are going to get firm commitments from various parties as to their ability to pick up the kids and watch them for the entire duration of a planned visit before we set another date.

In related issues...

1. I'm a little concerned that Neff Rental does not seem to have used the check I sent you. Did they get it? Has there been any problem with the trailer? Please let me know.

2. I'm thinking I should just do the towing of the Benz via long-distance. I can call a garage to let them know to expect it; I can call a towing company to give them directions and a credit card number. What I need to hear from you is whether or not there are any problems with my doing this (especially: is there any safe way for a tow-truck to get to the Benz? Will they need to put down skids or something?), and if there's a particular date or set of dates you would prefer. If I don't hear anything from you, as has been the pattern of late, I will have to assume that there is no problem.

Thank you!

Nick
