Subject: schedule FYI

We'll be down Monday/Tuesday to pick up Anna for another 2-week visit, and I may stop by Hull Road to pick up some stuff from the trailer.

The trip we were planning for this week fell through, so we'll be in NC for most of it (though in practicality, the earliest I could meet for mediation would be when we bring Anna back down in 2 weeks or so; if you had your eye on any dates before that, let me know).

One thing I wanted to ask about -- I took one set of drawers from Adrian's room when I was there last time, but there were two sets of drawers (that I built) and I think I had left them both in that room. Do you know where the other one is? Did it get moved out to the trailer, or is it still in that room? I'd like that to be one of the things I pick up this time if possible.

Thanks!

N.

Note

The planned trip that fell through was the week in California with Anna and Sandy.

Nick,

I have to say that it feels very uncomfortable to have you say that you refuse to discuss anything outside of mediation, cut off all communication, cease to send us notification of orders... basically, highjack "The store" and expect that we are to be as open to you just popping in... as if you weren't doing these things.

Yes, you still have things stored here... AND... you are still storing some of the shirts that you took to NC to inventory several weeks ago. Does this mean that we could say that we'll be popping in to your place to pick up the inventory before mediation happens?

Don't get me wrong. I understand that you feel that since you paid for the space, that you should have access to it. I think you should too... It's just that, in light of the things you have done, without our agreement... I do not want to see you, right now. Things could change.

You are the one who dictated these outrageous terms in the first place. We never agreed to these terms, yet you insist that they are in place whether we like it or not. It seems like they should work both ways. Why should you be able to say when you will and won't even entertain our voice on the phone... while expecting that you can still just show up here...whenever you feel like it?

I'm not saying that you absolutely can't get into the trailer. I am just asking that you ask yourself how important it is to you to have to get into it at this particular time...

My hope would be that you would understand that our feelings and our level of trust, where you are concerned, have both been shattered. It's hard for either of us to believe that you have taken the position and the liberties that you have taken with respect to our relationship and The Store. We'd rather that you plan to come when you can just empty out the trailer and store your stuff in NC. Then, we can either return the trailer or change the nature of it's function.

As for the drawers... if they are the ones I think you are talking about... they went down to the trailer. We haven't been in there since we put that stuff in there so I don't remember exactly what's in there and what's not.

Let me know if you see any logic in what I'm saying. Let me know if you don't.

Thanks,

Lynne

  • The shelf was in fact down in the trailer, and was recovered as planned.
