Things we need to get from wholesalers before we can add their merch (can u thinq of any more):

  1. Ordering terms
  2. Images, min. 1200 pixels high (smaller might be acceptable for items where the artwork is not the main point, e.g. books/CDs)
  3. List of prices & options (sizes, media...)
  4. Notifications when items become unavailable
  5. Notifications of new items, and images for them

#4 & #5 are problematic, but we should ask for them up front anyhow.

I wonder if we could create a Supplier Catalog application which we could distribute free to wholesalers -- if it was useful to them, they might start using it to keep all their e-tailers (and brick-&-mortars with email) updated on 4 & 5. Yeah, what fantasy world am I living in... but maybe some of the smaller wholesalers would like it. Might also be a way of getting their attention as to our webifying capabilities, if we included a sample store-building script. Or something.

In our spare time, of course.
