So... Josh is making these really irritating mouth-noises... we thought at first it might be a sign of tooth-pain, but he's just not acting like he's hurting. I can tolerate the noises (much better than the stomping, which resets my brain every time), but Sandy is having great difficulty with them, and I have no idea how to get him to stop -- short of dropping everything and taking him out somewhere...
...or maybe putting him outside and getting Lessie to watch him for an hour or two (she leaves at 2:20). In the meantime, I'm making him another hamburger, hoping that this will satisfy whatever is making him do this.
- 19:31 Mel asks: Is it the same as the that clicking he did a few years back?
It's similar, but he has added a kind of sucking, huffing sound to it.
- 20:35 Hilde asks: Does he get the concept [of] chewing gum or is that just a candy for him?
[Sandy] thinks he has tried it, and basically just swallowed it without getting much chewing. We could try again, I suppose... but this is the kind of thing you just can't explain to him. (This is the kid who chews and swallows lollipops, after all.)
